Passion
Weekend is $40 per person and is held at the Christian Union Campground Facility in Greenfield, Ohio. Registration deadline to receive a t-shirt is March 17, 2017, and final registration, no t-shirt, is April 3, 2017.
Passion
weekend is the result of youth pastors and leaders from the association coming
together in search of something more for their students. After much prayer and
planning Passion Weekend was born. Passion Weekend starts on Thursday
evening before Good Friday and ends Saturday morning. On Thursday evening we
have a night of worship, music and fellowship. On Friday morning we have
devotion and from 9am-12pm students may attend 3 out of 6 “ministry treks’
which are breakout sessions of interest to youth and their leaders. The topics
in the past have included devotions, social media, missions, spiritual
relativity and more. We try to change some of the sessions each year so
students have something new to choose from. If you are interested in teaching a
ministry trek please contact the Student Ministry Team at

After
lunch the youth and leaders head out into the community for a few hours to
serve. In the past we have visited several communities, handing out flyers and
inviting people to Easter services at local SBC churches. This year we plan on
including several service projects, including fleece blankets for the area
nursing homes and hospitals and Hero Bags for the Police Department to give to
displaced children. We also invite the public in to see the Passion of the
Christ movie, which we show each year on Friday night at the camp. Upon the
conclusion of the movie a powerful message from God’s Word is delivered to
the youth and the crowd. Of course throughout the weekend we have fellowship
and fun games. The camp ends on Saturday morning after clean-up, a lite
breakfast and a short devotion.
We
are asking for churches to bring fabric scissors and rulers for blanket making. Please mark them with your name to get them back! For more information on our service projects
